Cable Glands

All glands are supplied in packs. 20mm glands are in packs of 10, 25, 32 & 40mm glands are supplied in packs of 2.

Brass externally threaded compression Ring Type Glands

ref: RGM with 20mm, 25mm, 32mm & 40mm threads are manufactured in accordance with BS EN 60702-2 and certified and approved for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and suitable for ambient service temperatures of -20°c to 450°c (T1).

Hazardous area products and their terminations

MICC Group will look to ensure the user / installer complies with the conditions for safe practice.

Installation must be carried out by suitably trained personnel in accordance with the latest IEE wiring regulations and the applicable code of practice e.g. EN 60079-14. Inspection and maintenance of this equipment shall be carried out by suitably trained personnel in accordance with the applicable code of practice e.g. EN 60079-17.

Degree of Ingress Protection

In areas which are dusty, damp or likely to be wet, the electrical installer must use equipment and boxes suitable for the conditions. For threaded entries a rating of IP54 can be achieved by tightening the glands in the recommended manner.

Under testing of these products it was found IP rating could be achieved to IP6x. By assessing your requirements and the environment the glands are to be fitted we can confirm is suitability of your product. A rating of IP67 may be achieved with our glands using a sealing washer and thread sealant.

 

Potentially explosive atmospheres

Zone description

Zone 1 - In which an explosive Gas-Air mixture is Not Likely to occur in Normal Operation.

Zone 2 - In which an explosive Gas-Air Mixture is Not Likely to occur in Normal operation, and if it occurs it will exist only for a short time.

Seal Kits

RPS Seals are required to terminate the cable. RPS kits include a pot, stub cap, compound and sleeving. RPS Seals are supplied in packs of 10 for 20mm and packs of 2 for 25, 32 & 40mm.

Description

RPS seals (commonly known as standard seals) are designed to be used in conjunction with MICC Group glands. Manufactured and tested to BS EN 60702-2:2002.

For ambient service temperatures of -20°c to 105°c Dependent on the cable size the pots are supplied in 20mm 25mm 32mm and 40mm

Earth Tail Kits

RPSL can be used as an alternative to RPS Seals where an earth tail may be required. RPSL kits include a pot, stub cap, compound and sleeving. RPSL seals are supplied in packs of 10 for 20mm and packs of 2 for 25, 32 & 40mm.  

Description

RPSL seals (commonly known as Earth Tail seals) are designed to be used in conjunction with MICC Group glands. Manufactured and tested to BS EN 60702-2:2002. For ambient service temperatures of -20°c to 105°c.

Earth Tail Seals have an integrated earth tail (150mm long), crimped and soldered into the base of the brass pot. This provides earth continuity or sheath bonding into the application for cable conductor sizes up to and including 50mm² (Excluding those with 12 and 19 conductors)

Saddles

RCHL Cable clips are ideal for holding Mineral Cable in place. The RCHL clip is available in various sizes and colours. If you cannot see the size you require, contact our sales team.

Most clips sizes are supplied in packs of 50 however, confirm qty’s with our sales team when placing your order.

Single Clips & Two Way Saddles (LSZH Coated)  

Fixing Clips

RSFL Saddles are used to hold the Mineral cable in place. The RSFL saddle comes in various sizes and colours. Most clips are supplied in packs of 50 however, confirm qty’s with our sales team when placing your order.

Gland Shrouds

RHG PVC shrouds are used during instillation to cover the cable glands giving a neat professional finish. The RHG PVC shroud comes in various sizes and colours.

RHG PVC shrouds are supplied in packs of 10 for 20mm and packs of 2 for 25, 32 & 40mm shrouds.

Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH)

Sizes

RHGMM LSZH shrouds are a low smoke zero halogen shroud which are used during installation to cover the cable glands giving a neat professional finish. The RHGMM LSZH shroud comes in various sizes and colours.

RHGMM LSZH shrouds are supplied in packs of 10 for 20mm and packs of 2 for 25, 32 & 40mm

Joystripper 

The joystripper is used for stripping the cable sheath on the popular range of cable sizes. Including 2L1, 2L1.5, 2L2.5, 3L1, 3L1.5, 4L1 AND 4L1.5

Replacement blades are available for the joy stripper, use Ref: ZSJB.

Rotary Stripper 

The rotary stripper can be used on all cable sizes throughout the range.

Replacement blades are available for the rotary stripper, use Ref: ZSUB

The Rotary Stripper is suitable for all MICC Cable sizes. This is used to strip the copper sheath to assist in terminating the cable.

Ringing Tool

When using side cutters or a stripping rod to strip the cable sheath, the ringing tool is used to score a light groove round the cable sheath to neatly stop the stripping action.

Pot Wrench

This tool ensures quick and accurate screwing of the brass pot and is used in conjunction with the appropriate RGM cable gland.

Three sizes are available to cover the range of seals.

Copper Fixing Strap 

For use when making your own special size cables groupings. All colours available.
